BROADPOINT APPOINTS VAUGHN CRISP AS VP OF SALES
HOUSTON (JUNE 10, 2008) – Broadpoint, a full-service telecommunications and network solutions company, today announced Robert “Vaughn” Crisp II as its new vice president of sales for the Americas. Crisp brings over 20 years of industry experience to Broadpoint, and joins the company from satellite and telecommunications provider CapRock Communications, Inc., where he served as the director of sales, Americas.
“Vaughn brings a record of impressive results and industry experience to Broadpoint,” said Errol Olivier, president and CEO of Broadpoint. “He has a proven ability to elevate sales and create a culture of success that I have no doubt will benefit our team and our clients.” As vice president of sales, Americas, Crisp will focus on providing a level of service that is second to none, in addition to offering clients top-quality products and customer support. Crisp will focus on growing Broadpoint’s VSAT customer base by making Broadpoint the top-of-mind choice for premium satellite communications. In addition, Crisp will implement a strategic management system to ensure that Broadpoint’s customers enjoy the best possible consultative service and communication solutions, keeping them ahead of the curve.
In his prior position, Crisp produced record sales in each year of his tenure, resulting in a significant increase in sales to the Gulf of Mexico energy market—despite the fact that the number of rigs and vessels in the Gulf was decreasing. Crisp also previously served as a senior account executive at Walker & Associates, where he excelled in turning underperforming sales regions into the top grossing areas of the country, one at a time. Under his direction, sales in the U.S. south central region including Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama and Arkansas increased more than 700 percent within a two-year period.
