BROADPOINT APPOINTS ERROL OLIVIER AS PRESIDENT AND CEO

HOUSTON (MAY 27, 2008) – Broadpoint, a full-service telecommunications and network solutions company, today announced Errol Olivier as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Olivier comes to Broadpoint following his retirement from a 17-year career at satellite and telecommunications provider, CapRock Communications, Inc., where he served as president and chief operating officer.

“Errol brings a tremendous depth and breadth of industry experience to Broadpoint,” said John Bolduc of H.I.G. Capital, one of Broadpoint’s key investors. “His leadership guided his previous employer to impressive growth, and we couldn’t be happier to have him onboard at Broadpoint as we continue to expand our offerings and increase our focus on the international market.”

As president and CEO, Olivier’s focus will be on growing Broadpoint’s US-based telecommunications and satellite services, expanding the international presence and providing customers with reliable and seamless connectivity and support worldwide.

“There is tremendous growth potential for Broadpoint as customers in the marine and oil and gas industries demand greater connectivity for both professional and crew welfare applications,” said Olivier. “I am excited about working with the loyal and dedicated employees at Broadpoint to meet this demand and continue the company’s success.” At CapRock, Olivier spearheaded the company’s return to private ownership, leading a buyout from owner McLeodUSA. He went on to grow the company’s revenues by more than 400 percent in recent years, leading business units operating in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and the United Kingdom. He also previously served as the vice president of CapRock’s enterprise business group, managing sales and marketing for all of the company’s strategic markets. During his tenure he pioneered the first successful multi-tenant maritime satellite telecommunications business strategy in the Gulf of Mexico and expanded it globally.
