Bryan Olivier joined Broadpoint in June 2008 as Chief Operating Officer and promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer in June 2010, bringing more than 28 years of domestic and international experience in the energy and CLEC industries. He is responsible for overseeing technology development, engineering, planning, and managing it’s cellular and satellite operations. Mr. Olivier works to streamline Broadpoint’s technical and managerial efforts, as well as develop cutting-edge products and services for Broadpoint’s widerange of clients.
Before coming to Broadpoint, Mr. Olivier served as COO for CapRock Communications in Houston, Texas. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Vice President and COO at NovoLink Communications, an international VoIP service provider,providing wholesale international long distance to many major US carriers. Mr. Olivier also served as Sr. Vice President and CTO of Clearwire Technologies, a national wireless broadband service provider where he deployed one of the first 3G UMTS/WCDMA networks in the US.
In addition to his extensive international satellite and telecommunications experience, Mr. Olivier has spent a significant part of his career building domestic terrestrial networks, including the deployment of a 5,400 mile DWDM fiber network, infrastructure to support local exchange and long distance services across 30 markets, and an extensive ATM, Frame Relay, and DSL network providing access through 200 Central Offices.
Olivier has a master's degree in business administration in finance and organizational behavior from the University of Houston in Texas, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Olivier also attended the T.H. Harris Technical College in Opelousas, La., where he completed coursework in industrial electronics and telecommunications, and obtained a first-class Federal Communications Commission license and radar-endorsement license. He is the author of The Evolution of VSAT Networks. He also on the Board of Directors for the GVF (Global VSAT Forum).

Neka Hicks
Vice President, Satellite Operations
Neka Hicks came to Broadpointas their Chief Engineer in 2009 and was quickly promoted to the Vice President, Satellite Operations in 2010. He is responsible for broadening Broadpoint’s platform of telecommunications and network solutions, from idea generation to operations development and deployment. Hicks has more than 14 years of experience as a senior manager and telecommunications engineer and is known for fostering an environment of innovation and success.
Prior to joining Broadpoint, Hicks worked as the Chief Technology Officer for Novolink Communications where he was responsible for network engineering, technology deployment, operations, software development and information technology. He also served in senior positions at Clearwire Technologies, CapRock Communications and IWL Communications.
Hicks is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the world's leading professional association for the advancement of technology.
Hicks holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a concentration in telecommunications from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Jennifer Medcalf
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Jennifer Medcalf focuses more than 25 years of experience on her role as Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Broadpoint. Medcalf is heavily involved in the company’s strategic planning and growth, ensuring that Broadpoint customers enjoy the best products and services in the industry. Following Broadpoint’s creation in 2007, she completed the successful brand launch of the newly formed company in less than eight weeks.
Medcalf's career includes several leadership positions in sales and business development, and experience working with both domestic and international clients. She was recruited to Enron Energy Services in 1997 to create the company’s economic development department. She went on to play a critical role in the creation of Enron’s first Global Strategic Sourcing organization, where she worked as part of the management team to develop the first company-wide business development group to target suppliers for all of the Enron product lines.
Medcalf is currently a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Drilling Engineers, Women’s Energy Network and the National Ocean Industries Association. She has been recognized by numerous organizations and businesses for her management and leadership skills, and was recently awarded a place in the 2007 Global Directory of Who’s Who.
Medcalf holds both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in international business with minors in business finance and economics from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT.
